Park Ave UMC Family,
Grace to you and Peace in Christ Jesus.
We are all facing some new realities as we work and continue our ministry. My prayer for all of us is that we can remain hopeful in this time of uncertainty. I’m encouraged by our leaders at Park Ave for their willingness to serve and care for our community. Our leaders have been making phone calls to our congregation to keep everyone informed and connected. Some of our members have volunteered to write cards for encouragement. Some members of trustees have been working to improve the church building. There are many reasons to be thankful for and this is the evidence of God encouraging us through our love for one another. As God is strengthening us as a body of Christ, may we remain faithful to the mission of making disciples in creative ways and hold onto the hope we have in Jesus. The epistle reading from this past Sunday included these words from Romans: “We even take pride in our problems, because we know that trouble produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope. This hope does not disappoint us, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
